Parent Literacy
Explaining the exam to the person paying for it
Most parents do not know how JoSAA works, what a percentile means, or why a rank moved.
In plain words
Taken from the product's own specification, not written for this page.
A parent opens a Reading Room. The room says where this family is in the exam year, and puts one sheet on the table. A sheet is one idea on one page, printed-looking, calm. Welded to the foot of it, impossible to miss and impossible to collapse, is the line no competitor prints: who says so, and which year's rules this describes. The sheet ends not with "upgrade to see your child's rank" but with a question the parent can now ask out loud. They can share the sheet with another parent through a public link that demands no sign-up. The room records what they read, at which version, so that when an explanation is rewritten for a new cycle the earlier read stops counting as current.
