Controls that change the page without changing the learner.

Reading preferences remain local to this browser. AspireACE does not infer a disability, diagnosis, age, capability or identity from the selected controls.

Five controls

Choose, inspect, reset.

Use the “Reading controls” button at the bottom of every page. Preferences do not expire automatically and can be reset at any time.

Motion

Follow the device setting or reduce transitions and animation.

Contrast

Use the standard palette or a higher-contrast text and rule treatment.

Text size

Increase the base reading size without browser zoom interception.

Reading width

Constrain long prose to a narrower measure while leaving tools usable.

Data saver

Follow the browser connection hint, force it on, or keep it off.

Evidence boundary

Implementation is not certification.

Automated gates protect source contracts but do not prove compatibility. Responsive boards, keyboard paths, screen-reader behavior and production observation still require external evidence.

01source

Semantic structure

Math, diagrams and data tables have explicit source-level primitives and readable equivalents.

02interaction

Keyboard and focus

Skip navigation, visible focus and minimum target sizing are global shell requirements.

Assistive-technology review

No screen-reader, keyboard or WCAG conformance claim is published before recorded testing.
